Adjunct faculty needed to teach college level Physics course, Physics I, to freshmen and sophomores for 2020 Fall class. Classes run from August 24 to December 10, 2020.
- Lecture/Lab classes will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 to 11:50 am.
Physics I is first of a two semester non-calculus based physics course intended primarily for students majoring in engineering-technology and biological science programs.
Position is on-site unless COVID-19 guidelines require remote teaching. Candidates should be willing and able to teach onsite and remote based on College needs.
Adjunct faculty will be required to provide academic instruction to students according to approved course outlines and student learning outcomes through lecture and lab; assess and develop cognitive abilities, thinking and communication skills through appropriate assignments and activities in one-on-one, classroom, and distance-mediated instructional settings.
Required qualifications include a Master’s Degree in physics. Proven student engagement and effective teaching strategies that promote positive student learning also required. Experience teaching physics at community/college level is preferred.
