- Once in Canvas, click on Courses in the gray bar on the left, then click All Courses from the list.
- Click on the Browse More Courses button at the top right.
- Click the Join this Course button in the box titled Canvas Introductory Instructor Training.
Canvas Advanced Topic Workshops
These workshops on specific topics and functions of Canvas will give a more in-depth explanation of specific tasks or tools, as well as offer suggestions for best practices. Sessions will run between one and two hours, depending on the content presented. These workshops are demonstration oriented and do not require the participant to work within Canvas while attending. These workshops may be delivered in-person or online via web-conference. View the registration link below for detailed information. Advance registration is required. Sessions with fewer than two registered participants the day before the scheduled session will be canceled.
Small Group Hands-On Training
A limited number of small group training sessions are being offered for anyone interested in a hands-on approach to learning the ins and outs of Canvas. These sessions are only offered a few times at the start of each semester as a supplement to the Online Training course. The content is identical to the Online Training course. Sessions are conducted in a computer lab, so you're able to work with your course materials. Bring a flash drive or have access to your syllabus and course materials that you want to implement within your course. Advance registration is required. Sessions with fewer than two registered participants the day before the scheduled session will be canceled.
Blackboard Collaborate training is conducted one-on-one by appointment only. Please contact Mike Gregory, Instructional Designer (email@example.com) to schedule an appointment. For more information regarding Blackboard Collaborate, please view the Collaborate page on our website.
