Hello all! My name is Deannaliz Batista, and I am originally from Manhattan, New York. I am a RACC student since 2016, I am enrolled in the Engineering program. I was inspired to pursue an engineering career after I joined the STEM summer camp while I was a high school student. I plan to take general courses here at RACC and transfer my credits to a four-year college. I became a Raven’s Ambassador in 2017 because I wanted to help my peers to be more familiar with the buildings and resources that RACC has to offer. I also want to improve my communication and interpersonal skills. Being accepted into the Ambassador's family has been one of the things I have enjoyed the most; the atmosphere is welcoming and helpful. I love spending time with my friends and reading a good book.

I will be graduating in the spring of 2019, and plan to further my education in the Addictions field. I would also like to study in the areas of Social Work and Psychology. I also plan on becoming a Certified Recovery Specialist while working on my Bachelor’s degree. I enjoy cooking, reading and shopping in my spare time.
