Environmental Awareness Week Events
February 13-16 | Meet in Berks Hall Lobby
Environmental Awareness Week at RACC is a celebration of the importance of sustainability on our campus and in our community as well as local sustainability efforts, opportunities, and accomplishments that begin with you.
Please join us in our first annual Environmental Awareness Week filled with events, activities, giveaways, prizes, speakers, education, and more!
Thursday: 10:30am-12pm, Hawk Mountain will bring live raptors and discuss ways animals, like these birds of prey, can help us become more environmentally aware. RACC’s Communication, Arts, and Humanities division will offer leaf art and eco-poetry workshops. Enter a raffle to win a gift basket, and hang your poetry and art on the walls of Berks Hall. Come watch the movie "Tapped" in Yocum 117 at 3pm to learn about plastic waste.
All week, the Yocum Library will share digital and physical displays and tips on how to be more sustainable. Come check out books and documentaries on sustainability.
