RACCy Olympics
RACCy Olympics embarked on this journey with a simple belief that, collectively, we can profoundly impact our community. Through friendly competition and a shared dedication to giving back, RACCy Olympics now stands as a symbol of hope and solidarity. In the past decade, our unwavering dedication has enabled us to raise over $80,000 for eight local charities and achieve a significant milestone—the establishment of an on-campus food pantry. Thanks to the invaluable support of our dedicated staff, faculty, and sponsors, we've made this achievement possible.
In conjunction with this opportunity we are happy to share that our RACCy Olympics will be recognized by the Berks County Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) on November 9, 2023 as "Outstanding Community Group."
RACCy Olympics will be a part of the chapter's annual National Philanthropy Day breakfast during which they honor the philanthropic generosity and endeavors of our community.
Nominees were judged on the following criteria:
- Evidence of outstanding commitment through financial support or time and effort of community projects or charitable concerns, by making the community a better place.
- Description of direct achievements, such as new programs launched or innovative approaches to problems through the group's support.
- Evidence of encouraging and motivating others toward philanthropy and community involvement.
Looking ahead, our mission remains unchanged. The RACCy Olympics will continue to shine as a beacon of hope and transformation, nurturing a sense of belonging, inclusion, and empowerment within our community. Together, we will strive to reach even greater milestones, forging a lasting legacy of compassion and unity. As a college, we will persist in our efforts to support our pantry partners through donations and volunteering.
