The Leadership Program
Mission
Building Leaders Who Make a Better World
When the National Society for Leadership & Success (NSLS) began 20 years ago, we decided to help the greatest number of people in the most significant way. We achieved this through a dedicated mission to impact the world by building stronger, more successful leaders.
Our philosophy is that we accomplish more together than we do alone. We have seen that with proper support and dedicated action, people can achieve extraordinary things for themselves and the greater community.
Purpose
We are dream supporters – we build leaders, support people in achieving their dreams, and better the world in the process. We get people to ask the all-important question, 'What would you do if you knew you couldn't fail?' and then give students the tools they need to drive their future forward, establish themselves as leaders among their peers and build real-work skills that will help them excel in the workplace.
Eligibility Requirements
Invitations are mailed and emailed to the student.
- 2.5 or higher GPA and at least 6 credits completed
Success Stories: "How have the NSLS speakers or SNT meetings helped you achieve your goals or changed your life?"
- Lyric Parks
So far, the SNT meetings have helped me stay accountable and focused on my goals I set for myself. Being able to talk about my progress and hearing encouragement from others helps me stay motivated and keep reminding me to push myself and stay consistent and on top of my work. It also reminds me that achieving goals takes a lot of discipline and effort, and most importantly determination. Having people check in on my progress, even if it's just family, friends, or my classmates makes me take my goals a lot more seriously and helps me stay motivated to make sure I keep making improvements because there is always room for more and better improvements, to better yourself. It reminds me why I am working so hard in the first place, which is to build a better future for myself, my family and continue to be a positive and good role model for my siblings which is really important to me, and also make sure I set good examples for them to follow after.

The NSLS speakers and SNT meetings have helped me stay focused on my long-term goal of earning my Electrical Engineering degree. Hearing from successful leaders has reinforced the importance of persistence, goal setting, and staying disciplined while working toward my future career.
- Raja Alabyadh
The NSLS speakers and SNT meetings have helped me stay motivated, focused, and accountable. Hearing other members share their goals and challenges makes me feel supported and reminds me that I'm not alone in my journey. The meetings give me a safe space to reflect on my progress and celebrate accomplishments, like becoming a board member, which boosts my confidence. The leadership videos also encourage me to stay disciplined, organized, and committed to finishing my degree.

Inspired by Sylvester Stallone’s raw and practical wisdom during the NSLS speaker broadcast, I’ve shifted my approach to writing from a search for perfection to a commitment to the "end zone." Stallone’s reminder that even a "garbage" first draft is a victory because it exists on the page has helped me silence my inner critic and embrace the messiness of the creative process. His advice to "learn the craft" by studying the masters, combined with his disciplined routine of sitting at the desk regardless of the flow, has taught me that writing is as much about grit and "mirror therapy" as it is about talent. I now view every sentence as a step forward in a lifelong practice, understanding that while the first draft is for discovery, the real magic happens in the persistent, unglamorous work of the rewrite.

The NSLS speakers and SNT meetings have collectively shifted my approach from a reactive "getting a job" mindset to a proactive leadership mindset by providing the high-level inspiration to expand my capstone project’s impact from a departmental focus to a broader community wellness initiative, while simultaneously providing the structured accountability and peer feedback necessary to refine my SMART goals and leverage my personal network—such as collaborating with my wife to provide professional healthcare expertise—to ensure my senior wellness program is both credible and logistically sound.

The NSLS speakers or SNT meetings helped me change my life by providing me with the tools to never give up and to continue to push forward.
- Enrique Sanchez
The SNT meeting has helped me become more aware of how I use my time and the habits that slow me down. Talking with my team gave me practical strategies, like breaking tasks into smaller steps and planning earlier in the day. The supportive environment motivates me to stay accountable, and it feels encouraging to hear other people’s ideas and challenges. The NSLS structure is helping me develop stronger leadership and organizational skills that I can use in school, work, and daily life.
- Idalis Torres
Having my family as my SNT has been very meaningful. They encouraged me to stay focused on my phlebotomy school and career goals, helped me set realistic steps, and celebrated my progress along the way. Meeting with them gave me accountability and motivation, and their advice and support inspired me to overcome challenges. Their guidance has strengthened my confidence and reminded me that I’m not pursuing my goals alone.
