Leadership Program

Mission Statement

The mission of the Student Leadership Program is to provide students with educational opportunities to explore, identify, develop and enhance their leadership potential. Students will work to attain the skills needed to fulfill their responsibilities as citizens of the college community. Additionally, students are encouraged to seek positions within the community at large where their leadership skills can continue to be developed and used to advance the mission and goals of any organization, thus contributing to the process of life-long learning.

My Story, My College, My Community

All students are encouraged to apply to the Student Professional Development & Leadership Program. This program is an excellent opportunity to continue to develop your leadership skills and network with the other leaders on campus.

Are You Interested in Developing Your Leadership Skills?

RACC offers an excellent opportunity available to students who are interested in learning how to become leaders. The Student Professional Development & Leadership Program is a year-long learning curriculum that offers educational opportunities to explore, identify, develop and enhance your leadership potential. The program has four main components and kicks off with the Summer Leadership Institute followed by a Fall Leadership Retreat Weekend, a Winter Leadership Institute, and a Spring Leadership Retreat Weekend. After attending the program for one year, you may continue the program for an additional year as a Tier 2 participant.

While we encourage you to attend the entire program to gain the most from this experience, you may choose individual components, as appropriate for your schedule and interests as long as there are openings available. Students who attend a session will be given preference for the next session.

All students who are accepted into the leadership program will receive a full scholarship to cover costs of the program/component. We also offer the opportunity to win some great prizes throughout the year.

For more information, please contact Kimberly Uphold or call 610-372-4721, extension 3943. You may also stop by the Student Union Building (SUB) Z106.
