Summary:              

Raven Ambassadors assist in the recruitment, enrollment and student support activities of the office of Enrollment Services. Ambassadors are successful students who use their own college experiences to help others make wise decisions about attending college, support them through the application and enrollment process, and help them make connections to RACC through participation in campus activities and the use of campus resources.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Giving tours for school groups and prospective students visiting RACC.
• Participating in Open House, Open Enrollment and summer camps/
• Assisting with campus events like orientation, commencement, guest speakers and student activities.
• Working occasionally on weekends or evenings.
• Helping new students complete their application.
• Aiding in course registration for new students.
• Navigate students through various websites to be technologically ready and prepared as a college student.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities; however, they will coordinate the work flow of work-study students and provide a mentorship role.

Qualifications:

Must have excellent inter-personal skills. 

Ability to speak in a large group as well as one on one.  

Self-starter and able to work unsupervised as needed. 

Language Skills:

Ambassadors must have excellent communication skills.

Must be able to articulate in the English language.  Spanish speaking is a bonus (not required).

Education: 

Full time RACC student

Minimum GPA of 2.5.

Computer Skills:

They must also have the knowledge of the technical pieces that make a good RACC student and be able to teach the new and returning students these skills.

Additional Requirement:

Available to work 8 to (preferably) 15 hours per week. 

Must be available one night a week.
