Summary: Raven Ambassadors assist in the recruitment, enrollment and student support activities of the office of Enrollment Services. Ambassadors are successful students who use their own college experiences to help others make wise decisions about attending college, support them through the application and enrollment process, and help them make connections to RACC through participation in campus activities and the use of campus resources. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities; however, they will coordinate the work flow of work-study students and provide a mentorship role.
Qualifications: Must have excellent inter-personal skills. Ability to speak in a large group as well as one on one. Self-starter and able to work unsupervised as needed.
Language Skills: Ambassadors must have excellent communication skills. Must be able to articulate in the English language. Spanish speaking is a bonus (not required).
Education: Full time RACC student Minimum GPA of 2.5.
Computer Skills: They must also have the knowledge of the technical pieces that make a good RACC student and be able to teach the new and returning students these skills.
Additional Requirement: Available to work 8 to (preferably) 15 hours per week. Must be available one night a week. |
