When applying for positions, please provide the documents and information specified in the Application Instructions section of each job posting.
Effective June 1, 2015, employees in certain departments must provide copies of their background clearances to the Human Resources Department (Act 34 PA Criminal Background, Act 151 PA Child Abuse History, and Act 114 FBI Cogent Fingerprint for the PA Department of Human Services) when hired at their own expense.
If the job you are applying for is one of those requiring background clearances as a condition of employment, you will be required to obtain these clearances before you start working.
There is a 90-day grace period for the FBI clearance while you are awaiting your results.
Please check the job posting to see if the clearances are required for that position.
Please do not obtain your background clearances until you have received a formal offer of employment.
