Working Hours: Working hours for this position consist of no more than 15 hours per week. Hours to be agreed upon by both supervisor and employee at the onset of employment and are subject to change based on the needs of the Theater Program. Working hours may be in-person, virtual, or a combination of the two. Summary: The Art Program Studio Assistant consists of two areas of scope. Opening, keeping organized and clean the studio and the open studio time slots for the RACC art studio to art students at RACC. The assistant will be given tasks to organize and maintain cabinets, tools, and supplies. The assistant is also responsible for checking in students working during studio times. The Art Program Studio Assistant is to help with clerical, logistics, and organization of the art program, exhibitions, projects, and communications of the program throughout the year under the direction of the Art Program full time faculty. The Studio Assistant must be reliable and on time for shifts and meetings with the art program faculty. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Perform data entry and other administrative tasks as needed Make phone calls, send emails, or other contact requests as needed Assist with studio maintenance and organization as well as assisting with the installation and take down of exhibits Open the RACC art studio , check in and unlock studio for open studio times and keep it ordered and maintained for RACC art students to use in a respected and organized way Assist in communications and submissions and maintain accurate records and inventories of studio materials, exhibition submissions, and projects Establish and maintain public social media and internal platforms for communication to the public and event participants Meet with the art program faculty/ supervisor for direction on projects as needed and at agreed upon times Required Skills: · Basic computer skills · Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel · Basic clerical skills · Attention to detail · Strong people skills · Experience with social media including Instagram and Facebook · Strong writing skills · Reliability and dedication to work – at least 10 hours per week needed · Available to work weekends as needed Necessary Dates and Time of Work Friday – 10 am to 3pm Other days as necessary including some remote work |
