Students seeking faster workforce entry can begin with the Biotechnology Certificate, which develops practical laboratory skills in Biotechnology Techniques, Microbiology, Bioinformatics, and Biomanufacturing. Like all STEM certificates at RACC, Biotechnology certificate coursework applies directly toward the Biotechnology A.A.S. degree, allowing students to continue their education without losing credits.

The program provides an excellent foundation for students planning to transfer into bachelor's programs in biotechnology, biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, or other life science disciplines.
Students interested in advanced manufacturing may also explore RACC's Nanoscience Technology programs, developed in partnership with Penn State's internationally recognized Nanofabrication Manufacturing Technology Program.
