About the Health Professions Division:
The Health Professions Division offers accredited Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree programs in Medical Laboratory Technician and Histotechnician. The programs prepare students for careers in clinical laboratory settings through a combination of classroom, laboratory, and clinical training. The Division is committed to student success, workforce development, and strong healthcare partnerships.
Position Summary:
The Program Director provides academic, administrative, and instructional leadership for the Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) program and administrative oversight of the Histotechnician (HT) program. The Histotechnician program is supported by an Education Coordinator who manages instructional delivery, student supervision, and day-to-day academic operations in accordance with accreditation standards.

Education and/or Experience:
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in related field
- A minimum of three years’ teaching experience
- Knowledge of education methods and administration as well as current NAACLS accreditation procedures and certification procedures
- Holds ASCP‐BOC or ASCPi BOC generalist certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist
Preferred Qualifications:
- Doctorate degree in related field
Responsibilities: (Not an all-inclusive list of duties)
· Provide academic, administrative, and instructional leadership for the Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) program
· Provide administrative oversight of the Histotechnician (HT) program in collaboration with the Education Coordinator
· Oversee curriculum design, implementation, and evaluation for the MLT program
· Monitor student outcomes assessment and overall program effectiveness for both programs
· Coordinate and maintain clinical affiliation agreements
· Ensure ongoing compliance with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements for both programs
· Lead program review, reporting, and continuous quality improvement initiatives
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
