Program Learning Outcomes
- Analyze text as it relates to performances that embody the writer’s and/or director’s intentions.
- Identify major developments in theatre and screenwriting/performance writing from historical, cultural, and stylistic perspectives.
- Define the roles of each component in a theatrical or screenwriting/performance writing team and apply one or more of these roles to the theatrical or screenwriting/performance writing process.
- Select, prepare, and present representative monologues and scenes or acts from a range of sources, integrating theory and process in the creation of a character.
- Identify the different steps in the process of theatrical design, recognizing the differences between various types of theatre spaces and their respective applications and uses.
