Working Hours:
Working hours for this position consists of a 7.5 hour period (between the hours of 8:00 am and 8:00 pm) exclusive of a 1/2 or 1 hour lunch. In this position the employee will be required to work 1-2 evenings per week with specific evenings assigned at the onset of employment. The employee may be required to work hours outside of their agreed upon working hours up to five (5) times each semester (fall, spring, and summer).
Summary:
Enrollment Services Coordinators (ESC) are the first college representatives that prospective students meet. An ESC's role is to assist prospective students as they complete the application and placement testing process to enroll in the College. The ESC will meet with prospective students, inquire and learn about their goals and plans, and use the information to map out an educational plan. This process may take place in a single day, or, more likely, over a period of months. The ESC is responsible for keeping prospective student engaged throughout the entire process, regardless of length. The ESC learn, understand and effectively articulate the value and benefits of the education provided by the College, and develop a level of trust and rapport with prospective and new students.
This specific ESC position will focus primarily, although not exclusively, on high school students interested in and taking courses as part of RACC's Early College Pathways: Dual Enrollment, Technical Academy, Early Admissions, and SOAR Programs. The ESC will meet and advise students who are on one of these pathways to discuss academic progress and recommend next courses in their program of study.
The ESC will be expected to make and meet individual as well as team enrollment goals. The ESC in this position will also take responsibility for assisting the Director of Academic Partnerships in the promotion and coordination of events to grow and expand Early College Pathways.
The Enrollment Services Coordinator will be expected to perform all functions of this position as needed. As a guide, this position will spend 55% of time recruiting prospective students, 15% of time in support of building the Early College programs, 25% of time working in the Welcome Center assisting prospective students and 5% of time assisting on other projects as assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Effectively conduct interviews and information sessions with prospective students, asking appropriate questions to identify prospective students' goals and plans, and assisting in building course pathways to assist students in meeting their education goals.
Actively participate in the implementation of enrollment strategies as defined in the strategic enrollment management and marketing plan, with specific attention to Early College Pathways.
Be able to clearly explain to the community members and high school students the College's programs of studies and benefits of the College's articulation agreements.
Refer students to appropriate campus resources for assistance with college major, disability services, academic and personal issues, and other college related concerns.
Oversee the evaluation of high school transcripts for academic college credit from prospective students. Communicate transcripted credit information back to prospective students.
Assess recruitment initiatives to determine how productive these activities are in reaching prospect and applicant yield goals.
Serve as the liaison with the counselors at the Career Technology Centers, with the primary focus on Technical Academy, Early College Pathways taught at Reading-Muhlenberg and Berks Career and Technology Centers. Lead recruitment efforts with prospective students from the Centers and coordinate course and student registration information between the College and each CTC.
Assist in promotion and coordination of the college's on campus recruitment events.
Submit weekly and/or monthly reports as requested by the department/division supervisor.
Represent RACC at Workforce Investment Board meetings, as requested.
Attend meetings in compliance with the Perkins grant.
Work cooperatively and collaboratively with Advising and Enrollment Services area, and the college at large. Participate in cross training activities as needed. May be required to attend professional development activities.
Conduct him/herself in a professional manner and be an ambassador for RACC at all times.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:
Required
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
- Two years experience with demonstrated success in customer-focused sales, marketing, telemarketing or higher education admissions/recruitment.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational, documentation, and time management skills.
- Strong customer service skills working with a diverse customer base in terms of race, ethnicity, age, class, gender, ability, sexual orientation, and belief system among others.
- Ability to set and to achieve short and long-term goals.
- Ability to work independently within a fast-paced, dynamic, and team-oriented environment.
- Ability to quickly adapt and thrive in an environment of change.
- Ability to travel to local secondary institutions; must have valid driver's license.
Preferred
- Prior experience of high school student recruitment strategies.
- Demonstrated oral and written Spanish language fluency.
Language Skills:
Ability to create and edit effective, engaging communication for various target groups. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondences, and basic procedural documents. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of school administrators, teachers, parents, students and the general public.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Internet skills; proficient knowledge of Datatel, and basic knowledge of Hubspot or other administrative software.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Required: Valid driver's license.
