About Blended Learning
Basic Life Support (BLS) and other AHA courses are available in two different training methods – blended learning (online & classroom) and classroom training. All course options teach the same AHA science-based skills and result in the same AHA course completion card.
Online/Classroom Training
Step 1: Complete the online course
- Complete the online portion of the course and receive a certificate. To purchase the online segment, go to www.elearning.heart.org
- NOTE: Purchasing the activation code from the AHA does not enroll you into a skills session. Students must register & complete the online learning segment first and then schedule a skills evaluation (hands-on skills training).
Step 2: After completing Step 1 and receiving the certificate, contact the American Heart Association Aligned Training Center at RACC to schedule a skills evaluation (hands-on skills training). To schedule training call 610-607-6220 or email cpr@racc.edu.
- Students must present their certificate of completion from the online segment to be eligible to complete the skills evaluation.
Step 3: After completing Steps 1 & 2, a card is issued.
Classroom Only Training
This format is an in-person only course, no online preparation is required.
