Working Hours:
Consists of up to 15-hours per week based on the needs of the department and the position. Hours will be determined by the supervisor.
Travel Requirements:
Some local travel may be required; employee needs access to ready transportation.
Summary:
The CPR Coordinator provides administrative CPR support for the American Heath Association (AHA) approved in the department of Career Training Community Education & Professional Development.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Assess the current needs for CPR and First Aid training for the community and on-campus healthcare programs.
- Provide training schedule 3 months in advance to be printed and accessible by community using online Tabloid and catalog.
- Plan and schedule classes.
- Secure room for class using the appropriate channels.
- Arrange training settings to enhance the learning process.
- Recruit, interview, and hire CPR instructors as needed.
- Schedule instructors for training programs.
- Communicate registration information with instructors.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of instruction.
- Maintains current CPR AHA approved training materials for instruction.
- Perform data input of student and instructor information.
- Maintain system for obtaining, printing, and distributing certification cards and other course materials.
- Prepare materials and equipment to meet the needs of instructors.
- Maintain an adequate supply of materials.
- Lift and move CPR equipment as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience Requirements:
Required:
Minimum High School diploma or GED is required. Current First Aid/CPR certification.
Preferred:
Associates Degree in Healthcare field.
Bilingual: English/Spanish
Other Skills and Abilities:
- Organizational Skills
- Outstanding one to one and small group presentation skills.
Communication Skills:
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of instructors or students.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software, Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. Experience with Ellucian Colleague is a plus.
